A fast-paced final, full of opportunities and which confirms the great value of the two teams on the field. Rome and Genoa, meeting at Cino and Lillo of the Duke of Ascoli for the final of the under 15 championship, gave life to a match full of emotions and regrets.
Many from Genoa, who took the lead in the 49th minute with the new substitute Alessandro Consoli who within minutes had devoured a goal in front of goal, preceded in turn by two posts hit in 120 seconds by Brizzolari and Mandirola. Also noteworthy is the center forward Cozzolino who came close to scoring twice in the first half.
Roma proves cynical in making the most of the incursions into the opponent’s area, first with Lorenzo Dal Bon who made a tap-in in the 67th minute following an assist from the unstoppable Giammattei, and then when time was up when the Italian-Albanian Alvin Zekaj finalizes a counterattack with the Ligurian defense placed very badly.
Roma thus repeats the success of the under 17 team, avenging the defeat of the under 18 team against Genoa themselves. This is the seventh Giallorossi success in this category, obtained five years after the last victory in 2019.
