Still nothing done Vivarini and Catanzaro. A meeting between the owners, the coach and the staff should have been held this afternoon, but it was not held for reasons yet to be verified.
We’ve been going on like this for days, between more or less credible hypotheses and unnerving expectations, waiting for a concrete solution that can define the organizational chart.
Time passes and Catanzaro still doesn’t have a coach or rather they do and his name is Vivarini, but apparently it won’t be him. Everything, except for twists and turns, seems to be going in this direction.
President Noto, according to corridor sources, really doesn’t intend to let it pass to Ari’s coach because, according to him, he has expressed the desire to want a change of scenery, despite another year of contract.
A desire which, again according to unofficial sources, would not find confirmation from Ari’s coach who in the meantime has been imposed a press blackout by the club.
But the news filtering through some information channels after the only meeting between the parties puts Ari’s coach accused of “high treason” to the wall. In a few days Vivarini goes from miracle man to enemy of the day.
The square is incredulous but events follow one another. The enthusiasm quickly wanes in a clean sweep operation that leaves everyone a little stunned but not the owners convinced of having to put an end to a cycle in the name of a new project.
The truth probably lies somewhere in between. Different ambitions, different views between a coach who after an incredible season probably wanted more support to aspire to promotion to Serie A and perhaps try again next season and an owner who instead wanted and wants to take it slow and avoid biting off more than he can chew.
We are always in the realm of hypotheses, given that the company has never had its say on the matter, but the substance is this.
The season ends in Cremona after a deserved defeat and a tired and worn out coach who doesn’t want to talk about the future.
Some time later, in a long interview with La Nuova Calabria, the owner of the Eagles reiterated everyone’s respect for contracts.
A few days later, sporting director Magalini and coach Vivarini, during separate meetings, expressed their ideas and desire to leave.
Disappointment? more tempting mermaids? Anything could happen but the reality is that something has probably broken and there is no turning back.
Noto doesn’t take it well at all and, like a good entrepreneur, he doesn’t give up.
A few days later, the sporting director Magalini resolves peacefully with Catanzaro and goes to Bari, while the coach Vivarini does not give up and awaits the evolution of events while waiting for calls.
The owner could sack him but he doesn’t because it would mean paying him for nothing and he expects someone to pay the price of the termination, but there is no one to do it, not even a club like Frosinone who has been following him for some time. Vivarini does not resign because it would mean losing everything.
It goes on like this for days and in the meantime the general manager Paolo Morganti and the sporting director Ciro Polito arrive, while the names of coaches are bounced around including the most awaited one: Aquilani who apparently observes, reflects and leaves.
