The exhibition “Luciano Ventrone. The painter of hyperbole”, born from an idea by Vittorio Sgarbi, is hosted by Wednesday 26 June to Sunday 29 September in the spaces of the Valle Faul cultural center in Viterbo. «Ventrone – says Vittorio Sgarbi – is the painter of hyperbole. And his works are hyperbolic, exaggerated, baroque, rather than hyperrealistic. Ventrone exaggerates, perfects reality, even in its imperfections. And he forces us to deal with images that would not have interested us, outside of his interpretation of him.” Luciano Ventrone is among the most internationally known contemporary Italian artists. He has exhibited in the most important museums and galleries in the world. Working directly from photography, he is able to capture details not visible to the human eye. In his works he creates evocative worlds full of experiences and emotion. The choice of subjects links him to the great painters of the past, however it is his attention to the application of paint, his treatment of color and light that places him among his contemporaries.

The exhibition itinerary includes more than 30 works starting from the abstract period of the sixties up to the most famous and recent still lifes created by the artist. A unique opportunity to admire masterpieces never exhibited before. The exhibition is created by Contemplazioni and made possible thanks to the support of Intesa Sanpaolo.

Opening hours: Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 7pm (last entry at 6.30pm). Ticket price: full €8, reduced €5 (under 18, over 65, university students, unaccredited journalists, a companion for a disabled person who requires it, tourist guides with a qualification card), free (minors up to 6 years , disabled people, journalists with an ODG service card and accredited at least 24 hours before the visit to: [email protected]).
