The new technical staff that will support coach Sandro Dell’Agnello during the 2024/2025 season is taking shape. Rivierabanca Basket Rimini announces that it has reached an agreement with Sergio Luise, who will occupy the role of assistant coach of the first team of Serie A2. Caserta native, born on 3 July 1977, Sergio has just returned from two years as head coach in his hometown team, Juve Caserta 2021, playing in the Serie B tournament. Luise is a highly experienced coach, with a curriculum spanning twenty years not only as an assistant in Serie A2 but also in Serie A1. Graduated in environmental sciences and motor sciences, the trainer boasts in-depth knowledge and professional respect with coach Sandro Dell’Agnello, having already worked together as a couple in the Forlì days.

Luise’s basketball career, after a past as a player in the minor leagues, is closely intertwined with the history of Juve Caserta. It was in his city that Sergio began his career first as a youth coach, before arriving as an assistant coach in Legadue and Serie A1. Since 2014 the choice to undertake paths far from his city: in Vasto as head of the youth sector and head coach, then in 2016/2017 assistant in Serie A2 in Recanati, in 2017/2018 assistant at Viola Reggio Calabria, from 2018 to 2020 assistant in Scafati and in 2021-2022 first assistant at Pallacanestro Forlì with Sandro Dell’Agnello.
