Fight against apartment thefts: tight controls in Folignate

The extraordinary control activity in the Foligno area carried out by the Perugia Police Headquarters continues to prevent thefts from homes and prevent predatory crimes in general. The balance of the services carried out in the last week by the agents of the police station in via Garibaldi and by colleagues from the Umbria Marche Crime Prevention Department was 133 people identified and 47 vehicles checked. A fine for violation of the highway code was also recorded. The patrols concentrated their efforts on patrolling the main access roads to the third largest city in Umbria, also carrying out checks in the streets of the historic center and in the more peripheral areas such as Fiamenga, Borroni, Sant’Eraclio and Paciana. Activities implemented, as mentioned, to prevent possible thefts but also muggings, robberies and possible phenomena linked to the disturbance of public peace, as well as intercepting potential people engaged in illicit activities. The public establishments were also subjected to checks: in detail, three were involved, in which the State Police agents proceeded to identify the customers present at the time of the checks, so as to ascertain the possible presence of criminals. Furthermore, checks are carried out on compliance with public safety regulations and the ban on the administration of alcohol to minors.
