The appointments
“The pulse of the economy” is the meeting dedicated to the economic situation of Campania. The speakers will comment on the data from the Territorial Economic Report produced by the Bank of Italy. Representatives of the Bank of Italy, local businesses and universities will participate in the initiative. The public will be able to intervene and ask questions. The event will be held on June 26th, from 10am to 12pm, in the Marble Hall of the Palazzo di Città in via Roma (book).
In the event “Watch out for scams! If you know them, you can avoid them” we will talk about fraud in electronic payments and the measures to avoid them. The meeting will be attended by magistrates and representatives of other bodies that work every day to fight this plague. The appointment is on 27 June, from 10 to 11.30, in the reception hall of the Palazzo della Provincia – Palazzo Sant’Agostino in via Roma n. 104 (book).
Finally, it will be possible to learn about the Bank of Italy and its functions and what services it offers to citizens by taking part in guided tours of the local headquarters in Corso Vittorio Emanuele n. 177. The doors of the office will be open on June 26th from 3pm to 7pm (book) and on June 27th at the same times (book).
The project
“Travelling with the Bank of Italy” is a journey in stages in the country started by the Bank of Italy in 2023 with three objectives: to spread among citizens the basic knowledge of economics and finance necessary to make informed choices with money (for saving, asking for loans, investing…); dialogue more directly with citizens, businesses and local institutions; raise awareness of its duties as a central bank serving the country, such as the production of banknotes, economic research, supervision of the stability of banks and the protection of their customers.
Each stage is dedicated to a theme, for example the functions of money and finance, the protection of bank customers or security in electronic payments. At each stage the Bank of Italy organizes a main event and one or more side events and opens the doors of its local headquarters to everyone.
