Thirty-two years laterthe Calabria will return to be the protagonist of International demonstration of forestry machinery and equipmentorganized by the National Union for Forestry Scientific Innovation, the Calabria Region and the regional forestation agency Calabria Verde e.
The event, which will take place in Fuscaldo from 28th to 30th June, aims to promote knowledge – particularly within the mountain agro-forestry sector – of the new technologies and innovative work systemsi, all with low environmental impact, for cultivation and use interventions, the organization of work sites, accident prevention, as well as the presentation of new technologically advanced machines and innovative supply chains for the use of wood residues for energy purposes , artisanal and industrial.
“It is important to support and indeed multiply these events – says the regional councilor for Forestry, Gianluca Gallo – in consideration of the enormous potential of Calabria, rich in more than 600,000 hectares of forest, approximately 60,000 of which are regionally owned. Not a problem, but a resource, which we also intend to enhance through Dimaf. Until some time ago the sector was completely blocked.”
“We are therefore engaged in a relaunch effort: we were the first region in Italy to approve the forestry development program envisaged by the TUFF which, intertwined with the new national forestry strategy, dictates the development guidelines for the next twenty years. ‘years. The exhibition program
In detail, the three days in Fuscalda will be divided into two fundamental moments. The first will concern a technical-scientific conference (scheduled for Friday 28 June at 9.30 am, in the Mino Reitano auditorium), with the participation of high-profile scientific speakers.
The second, however, starting on June 28th at 4 pm, and continuing on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June in the Pellegrina Cinquemiglia state forest), will have as its object the presentation of the works in the forest, with the use of the latest machinery generation, in reference to the specific silvocultural activities of the area and to development hypotheses indicated by the technical and government bodies of the territory.
