Only ten days to save Doric football. For the D, 400 thousand euros are needed by July 4th

The investiture of Mayor Daniele Silvetti by the Football Federation arrived promptly yesterday and this morning the public notice for expression of interest will be ready with which all parties interested in entering, alone or together, the upcoming Ancona will have a few days to make go ahead, propose yourself and express not only their interest but also all the requirements requested by the mayor. Here is therefore the second official step, after the communication from the FIGC which reached Silvetti’s table yesterday, communication with which the Football Federation believes that the city of Ancona can be granted the procedure referred to in paragraph 10 of article 52 of the Noif. And he informs the same that the new club will have to pay 400 thousand euros in a non-refundable way to the FIGC itself for admission to series D or 135 thousand for admission to Excellence. A figure that both in one case, the one that Mayor Silvetti has been chasing for weeks now, namely the supernumerary Serie D, and in the case of the Excellence, a hypothesis that the city doesn’t even want to hear about, will have to be deposited in the Federation in Rome by cashier’s check by July 4th. The public notice of expression of interest will therefore be posted today and will expire on Sunday. After that, the interested parties chosen to form the new Ancona will have four days to deposit the 400 thousand euro circular together with the required documentation with the FIGC. In the following days they will be able to establish the new company, assign the proxies and present the guarantee of 31 thousand euros and the registration, for which the window is open from the 8th with an extension until the 12th of July. Silvetti’s work will therefore end on July 4th: if the 400 thousand euro check and the other documents requested by the FIGC have been paid, including a three-year plan, the ball will then pass to the new club. But the mayor will still have to express his approval, as municipal administration, on the assumption of the economic and financial solidity of the new corporate structure and the solidity of the sports project. If this is not the case, however, and if not even the 135 thousand check has been paid, then July 4th will be another sad date for Ancona football. But the conditions for achieving a concrete result that allows Doric football to continue its more than one hundred year history in Serie D, despite a tortuous and not without obstacles path, seem to be all there. Now it is a race against time: the interested interlocutors will have to follow up and concretely follow up on the meetings with the mayor, and demonstrate, no later than July 4th – ten days – that they can truly save Ancona football by thus providing it with new perspectives.
