The unstable weather continues with large clearings in the morning and a high probability of clouds, showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon-evening. A general improvement is expected starting from Thursday
SITUATION: Our peninsula continues to be affected by a core of fresh air at high altitude positioned between Sardinia and Tuscany which determines unstable weather conditions in the north and in a large part of our central regions, with strong thunderstorms continuing to appear in the northern regions , in particular on Emilia-Romagna, and on our central regions, especially on the Marche and, to a lesser extent, on our region, as happened last night.
The slow movement of the nucleus of fresh air towards the east will continue to favor episodes of instability in the Marche and our region, however compared to yesterday, cloud cover and possible thunderstorms could also develop in Molise and Puglia, especially in the second half of the day. Wednesday will also be characterized by instability which will manifest itself especially in the afternoon and late afternoon close to the Apennine mountains, where there will be no shortage of clouds and showers, including thunderstorms, extending towards the Adriatic sector, but easing in the evening and at night. From Thursday the weather will generally improve due to the rise of a high pressure promontory which will also favor a new general rise in temperatures in all our regions at least until Sunday.
FORECAST: In Abruzzo, initial conditions of predominantly clear or slightly cloudy skies are expected with possible cloud cover in the Teramo area, temporarily easing in the morning. From late morning the cloud cover will tend to intensify again starting from the internal and mountainous areas, while in the afternoon and late afternoon the probability of witnessing the development of thunderstorms again will increase which, from the mountainous areas, will tend to extend towards the Adriatic sector, mainly affecting the Teramo area, locally the Pescarese area and occasionally the Chieti area. The phenomena could also be of moderate intensity but will tend to attenuate by the late evening-night.
Temperatures: Further slight decrease in minimum values, stationary in maximum values.
Winds: Weak from the northern quadrants along the coastal strip. Western on inland and mountainous areas. Possible gusts of wind during thunderstorms.
Sea: Slightly rough in the morning but with increasing swell during the day.
