Not just motorbikes and tourism, in the DNA of the Motoclub Morena led by president Sergio Ammirati there is also solidarity (from this year the association collaborates with Moto Emergenza Fvg which brings concrete help to people in need) and attention to environmental issues (with the ecological intervention of the group “Let’s clean ourselves up Challenge” led by Valentina Martinis in which 12 volunteers took part, nine asylum seekers from the Cavarzerani barracks, six children from the Casa dell’Immacolata and some children accompanied by their parents to clean the streets of the historic center. Also creative workshops with recycled materials and environmental education).

Numerous authorities also participated in the event: the deputy mayor and councilor for Tourism Alessandro Venanzi with the municipal councilor for Sport Chiara Dazzan, the president of the regional council Mauro Bordin, the regional councilor Mauro Di Bert, The commander of the local police Eros Del Longo. The event was moderated by journalist Daniele Paroni.

Venanzi and Dazzan brought greetings from the municipal administration, the deputy mayor “as a motorcyclist as I am – he stated – I appreciate this important initiative for the city which enhances the Morena motoclub work carried out throughout the year not only as an aggregation tool but which raises awareness on issues associated with road education on two wheels even for the little ones.” Dazzan joked about the fact that last year she arrived at the motorbike rally “on two wheels, but with pedals, while this year on a scooter. Who knows what’s next! Because if in reality I bought the scooter for pure practicality, despite having never ridden even a Ciao as a girl, as soon as I sat on it I discovered a joyful freedom, so much so that sometimes when I have to go somewhere I deliberately extend the road to enjoy it more. It’s definitely not the same thing, but I was able to clearly understand the drive of those who live the passion of motorcycling.” The councilor also underlined that “The MotoClub Morena, in addition to being a national motorbike touring champion, is a multifaceted reality open to various other activities and every year it manages to expand its network of collaborations with different entities. The presence of voluntary associations such as Ana, Ripuliamoci Challenge, Moto Emergenza fvg, the fantastic food and wine kiosks, the possibility for young local musical bands to perform live in the square, the camping area created in via Pozzuolo thanks to the availability of the Asd Assosangiorgina testify the ability of President Ammirati and his team to involve anyone who cares about our territory and recognizes the value of healthy aggregation”.

“Whether we do it with motorbike rallies, with the Giro d’Italia or with other tools – said the president of Cr Fvg, Mauro Bordin – for us institutions the important thing is to make Friuli Venezia Giulia and its beauties known. Because we are proud of our territory and therefore we want to show it off. We administrators – he observed – are fortunate to represent the Region in many different places and from time to time we realize the wealth of initiatives that characterizes us at all levels”.

Eros Del Longo, also a motorcyclist, placed the emphasis on responsible driving, ensuring that “prudence prevails during rallies, while on the road in everyday life sometimes someone is tempted to imitate the GP champions”.
