The Province of Trapani, renowned for being the most vineyard-rich area in Europe, will host “DeGusti Arte”, an event that combines the excellence of Sicilian wine, gastronomy and art. From 5 to 7 July 2024, the historic Piazza Ex Mercato del Pesce in the centre of Trapani will become an exceptional stage. Now in its fifth edition, “DeGusti Arte” is inaugurating its first Summer Tour this year, choosing Trapani as its opening stop.

DeGusti Arte is an experience that combines tastings of fine wines and agri-food products, meetings with producers, exclusive masterclasses, with an evocative artistic journey. Participants will have the opportunity to taste a vast selection of local wines, including Nero d’Avola, Grillo and Marsala, accompanied by typical gastronomic specialties.

Industry experts will lead training sessions in suggestive locations in Trapani, offering insights into winemaking techniques, food and wine pairings and wine market trends. It will be possible to meet winemakers and producers directly, discovering the history and techniques behind local products. Works by contemporary Sicilian artists will be exhibited along the tasting route, creating a dialogue between visual art and food and wine.

Vincenzo Bellia and Marco Basciano, organizers of “DeGusti Arte”, say: “We chose to bring DeGusti Arte to Trapani, a land rich in history. DeGusti Arte is a bridge between winemaking tradition and contemporary artistic expression.”

Entrance: 10 euros, which includes ten tastings
Security deposit for the glass: 5 euros.
