The financiers of the Provincial Command of Cremonacarried out a preventive seizure issued between Cremona, Busto Arsizio, Pessina Cremonese, San Bassano and Bolzano by the GIP at the Court of Cremona against the de facto and de jure directors, all of Pakistani nationality, as well as their family members, of a transport company brought to bankruptcy after having diverted sums of money by crediting them to their personal accounts, as well as having sent a series of vehicles to a new company set up by the same defendants through the stipulation of a contract for the transfer of a branch of the company, thus causing the bankruptcy of the bankrupt company.
The activity carried out by the military of the Economic and Financial Police Unit arose from an investigation delegation from the local Public Prosecutor’s Office following the difficulties encountered by the bankruptcy trustee in tracing the reasons for the bankruptcy, including the failure to comply with procedural obligations by the subjects under investigation, the
failure to identify movable assets and the impossibility of carrying out inventory reconstructions, up to the unavailability of the Sole Director of the company. The investigative activities, supported by in-depth financial analyses and other complex judicial police activities, have allowed the aggravated fraudulent bankruptcy of the Directors and their family members to emerge. At the end of the investigations involving a total of 4 natural persons and 2 legal persons
8 vehicles linked to the bankrupt company were sealed and sums of money were seized up to the limit of approximately 230,000 euros. The criminal proceedings are in the preliminary investigation phase; according to the principle of the presumption of innocence, the responsibility of the persons under investigation will be definitively ascertained only if an irrevocable sentence of conviction is issued.
