Third place for the Savona Sports Veterans team at the National Over 40 Veterans Football Championship which ended yesterday in Siena organized by the Unvs of Siena. The team from Savona, led by coach Felicino Vaniglia, beat the Tuscan team Volterra 5-2 in the final that awarded the bronze medal thanks to a brace from Simon Calligaris and centers from Oscar Salvatico, Sergio Panigo and Paolo Tessitore . The team from the Rinaldo Roggero section of the Veterani dello Sport of Savona entered the Tuscan final as reigning champions, having won the national championship last year, in September, at the “Ruffinengo” in Legino, beating 1-0 (goal by Oscar Salvatico) the Massa.
