The tennis tournament organized by the Tennis Club Terni with the contribution of the Carit Foundation started yesterday with the second category in the 2nd men’s Open 4800.

On Saturday the 5 qualifiers from the third category draw were defined: Luca Brunetti 3.1 (ASD Tennis Club Terni), Gianmaria Raccio 3.1 (ASD Tennis Academy Colle Diana), Federico Armellin 3.1 (ASD Circolo Tennis Foligno), Quondam Gregorio Francesco 3.3 (Happy Village ASD) and Pietro Trippetti 3.2 (Tennis Club 2 Valli ASD).

In addition to entering the second category draw, the five qualifiers will share the €300.00 prize pool reserved for the conclusion of the third category.

The main draw, with a prize pool of €4,500.00, features 48 second category players. The first favorite is Valerio Perruzza 2.1 (ASD CT “F. Beretti” – Grottammare – AP) while the second seed is the Umbrian Stefano Baldoni 2.1 registered with the CT Giotto (AR), third was Giorgio Ricca 2.2 ( Play Pisana SSD) while fourth seeded Silvio Mencaglia 2.2 (Circolo Tennis Maglie ASD) followed by Pietro Cortecci 2.3 (Circolo Tennis Siena), Gian Rocco De Filippo 2.3 (Circolo Canottieri Roma) and Alessandro Scialla 2.3 (Circolo Tennis Siena).

The sporting event organized by the Terni Tennis Club is not just sport, but is also an opportunity to enhance the province of Terni, promoting its scenic and environmental beauties, its history and its culture. For the entire duration of the tournament, the Terni Tennis Club will dedicate spaces (brochures, social networks, etc.) to promote the local municipalities that have responded to this initiative so that the tournament is also an inspiration for the players, their companions and for the public to learn about the area.
