Co-administration in Bologna: Gioia Provincial President

The national assembly of Confamministrare – association of condominium administrators – recently took place in Bologna. During the event, Dr. Maria Maddalena Gioia, former National Vice President of Confamministrare Italia, was elected Provincial President of Confamministrare Bologna. What are the current challenges and potential of dual tenure? «As National Vice President I am committed to the growth of the figure of the condominium administrator, a figure that evolves and becomes Building and Facility Manager. As Provincial President of Confamministrare I stand alongside the President of Confabitare, Alberto Zanni, already involved both at a local and national level in the promotion of environmental sustainability, urban redevelopment and the valorisation of real estate assets on the part of the owners”. Do you believe that the appointment as Provincial President of Bologna can act as a bridge between the various territorial bodies and the national policies of the association? «Yes, the Provincial President has the task of representing the interests and needs of the territory within the association and of ensuring that the national policies of the association are adequately transposed and implemented at a local level, facilitating dialogue, collaboration and cooperation between the different territorial realities, helping to create a closer, cohesive and synergistic link between local and national levels”. Has he already outlined some initiatives that he intends to promote in the coming months? «It is necessary to promote the association at a provincial level through the organization of events that give the possibility of involving the condominium administrators of the province of Bologna. We must then encourage collaboration and the exchange of experiences in the administrative and property management fields, as well as improve the interaction between condominium administrators and property owners, encourage communication and promote the exchange of information and common objectives.”
