Event enriched by the General States of the naturalistic and landscape areas: the Lucanian Apennines National Park and the immersive visits of the territory
Also the Apennine Lucano Val D’Agri Lagonegrese National Park at “Biodiversa, the Italy of Parks tells its story” the trade fair event held in Gravina from 21st to 23rd June. A “Parks Fair” dedicated to nature, the relationship with it and its potential at a tourism and production level. At the event, representing the Pnal, the Extraordinary Commissioner Antonio Tisci and the director Giuseppe Luzzi. The Extraordinary Commissioner Antonio Tisci declared: «I had the privilege of intervening, together with the President of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise on behalf of the Lucanian Apennine National Park to bring the voice of the National Parks before the Government represented by the Honorable undersecretary Claudio Barbaro”. «I reiterated that – continued Tisci – the Italian National Parks are not Yellowstone but were born and raised in territories in which man has exercised his activity of surveillance and protection of the environment through pastoralism and agriculture for many centuries before the parks were established. Ideological environmentalism is not good for the territory, we must go back to talking about the landscape that unites the ridge and the bell tower, the forest and the tower, nature and the work of man.” Director Giuseppe Luzzi added: «Technically we are proceeding with the construction of a complex phase of listening and connection with the territory which is directing us towards the construction of what we call the Sustainable Hospital Destination, made up of a network rooted in the territory that holds together the various actors of the vast protected area”. Sustainability, environment and territorial development are the themes which the Park’s presence has focused on, also in light of the work to promote the various objectives of the UN’s 2030 agenda for sustainable development. The park’s dissemination action also took place in this complex and vast direction, which was presented at the fair with an innovative system for displaying the most significant points of the area. Within the “The Park is there” project, a series of immersive videos were produced which attracted tourists and curious people who were involved in a story created through the integrated use of 360 shots and audio reconstructions facilitated by the use of artificial intelligence. Nature, culture and innovation for a park area that wants to be part of a process of growth and development in which no one must remain on the margins, involving all the protagonists of the protection and enhancement of protected areas.
