Castelbuono returns to being the food and wine capital of the island with the eighteenth edition of DiVino Festival. A weekend, from 28 to 30 June, dedicated to wine, gastronomy and culture.

Thus the medieval village located in the heart of the Madonie is preparing to welcome a rich program of guided tastings, meetings with prominent figures of the food and wine world, awards ceremonies, masterclasses and moments of entertainment. Among the 2024 awardees are the actor and presenter Beppe Convertini, Antonio Mazzola (Masterchef), Nando Papa (Head Sommelier of the Verdura resort) and Pietro Russo & Andrea Lonardi (Master of Wine).

The festival will open on Friday 28 June with the inauguration of the “Exhibition on the Balconies… wine in art”, followed by an aperitif in Piazza Castello at 7.30 pm in which Francesco Saverio Russo will lead a free masterclass to discover the aromas and versatility of Moscato and Brachetto grapes, in collaboration with the Consortia for the Protection of Asti and Acqui Wines, at 9.30 pm the comedy show “Una pizza per due” with Chris Clun and Simone Riccobono. At 10.30pm the concert in Povia.

Saturday 29 June, wine enthusiasts will be able to immerse themselves in a unique sensorial experience thanks to the guided tastings conducted by Masters of Wine. At 11.00, at the Il Palazzaccio restaurant, a guided tasting of Chianti wines will be held by Francesco Saverio Russo in collaboration with the Chianti Rufina Consortium.

In the afternoon, at 5.00 pm, Riccardo Gabriele and Francesco Saverio Russo will accompany the participants on a journey to discover the La Regola, Michele Satta, Fattoria di Fibbiano, Pietroso, Spalletti, Colonna di Paliano, Querceto di Castellina and Podere Forte wineries.

At 6.00 pm, Oscar Farinetti will return to Castelbuono to present his latest book, “10 moves to face the future. A new life through pleasure and beauty.”

The evening will continue with the Grand Awards Gala, an event dedicated to the best talents in the food and wine world.

Sunday 30 Junethe final day of the event, will open at 10.30 am with an exclusive Breakfast of Champions dedicated to the cellars of Etna, with the participation of Luca Martini, Best Sommelier in the World for the World Sommelier Association, and Pietro Russo, Master of Wine 2024 .

From 4.00 pm to 9.30 pm, the cloister of San Francesco will host a great tasting with wines from around 200 Sicilian, Italian and foreign wineries.

An opportunity to discover the area and its excellence. At 9.30pm, in Piazza Castello, tasting of Testa di Turco, a typical Castelbuonese dessert, and then the grand finale with the Lab Orchestra of Massimo Minutella and Paolo Belli Special Guest.
