It is announced almost as a “generalized proof” of the long summer closure (scheduled for 40 days, from 23 July to 1 September), the news that from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 June 2024, due to infrastructure improvement works, railway traffic will be suspended between the Colleferro and Ciampino stations, with repercussions also on the Castelli Romani routes, given that, furthermore, from 9.40 am to 12.20 pm on Saturday 29 June and from 10.15 am to 12.30 pm on Sunday 30 June, rail traffic will also be suspended between Rome Termini and Ciampino.
By virtue of this the following consequences will have:
- The Intercity and Intercity Night trains of the Rome-Bari-Lecce-Taranto connection are subject to changes in stops and timetables. For the IC 703 Rome – Bari and IC 704 Bari – Rome trains, a replacement bus service is provided between Anagni – Caserta with stops in Frosinone, Cassino and Vairano;
- The regional trains of the Rome-Colleferro-Frosinone-Cassino connection are subject to cancellations or limitations. A bus service is planned between Ciampino-Zagarolo, Ciampino-Valmontone, Ciampino-Tor Vergata and between Ciampino-Colleferro. Some buses are extended to Rome Termini and Frosinone/Cassino. Furthermore, the railway offer between the Ciampino-Rome Termini and Colleferro-Cassino stations has been increased;
- Some regional trains of the Rome – Albano, Rome – Frascati, Rome – Velletri connections will suffer cancellations, variations and limitations. Bus service planned on the routes involved;
- Some regional trains of the Rome – Isernia connection are subject to cancellations. A bus service is planned between Rome and Campobasso;
- Some regional trains on the Rome – Caserta/Benevento connection are subject to limitations.
