POTENZA PICENA – What more beautiful day for Potenza Picena than that of the liberation from violence, from the Nazi-fascist dictatorship? Sunday 30 June the ANPI of Potenza Picena section “Scipioni e Cutini” with the patronage of the City of Potenza Picena and in collaboration with the Cultural Association AMICI DELLA MUSICA invites to the Celebration of the Eightieth Anniversary of the Liberation of Potenza Picena by the 4 ° Polish Skorpion regiment which liberated it from Nazi-fascism and to the commemoration of the 8 civilians who fell under the vile enemy fire.
For all those who have experienced, and for those who have subsequently benefited from, the path of conquest of social and civil rights, for those who maintain that the culture of civil commitment and the valorisation of the conquest of and freedoms are primary objectives, they will not be able to avoid being present at this necessary and fundamental celebration.
The ANPI of Potenza Picena Section. “SCIPIONI E CUTINI” has developed and will continue to propose educational paths and projects on freedom, on the valorization of personal commitment as an achievement of the human being, on equality and on the protection of rights borrowed from the partisan struggle and on what the Association Nazionale Partigiani d’Italia has represented and promoted in all these years since its foundation, 80 years ago, onwards.

PIAZZA MATTEOTTI 11:00am Reading of an original text that recalls the events that occurred on 30 June 1944 and laying of the Laurel Wreath.
PORTA GALIZIANO 11.30am Inauguration of the plaque in memory of the 4th Polish Skorpion Regiment.
COLLEGIATE OF SANTO STEFANO 6.30pm Mass in memory of the eight civilian victims.
