The event will be held Friday 28 June, from 6.30pm to 11pmin the splendid setting of Cloister of San Tarcisio inside the Park of the Catacombs of San Callisto in Rome.
During the evening it will be possible to taste Palestinian wines from the Salesian winery of Cremisan (Bethlehem) and wines from over 30 Italian wineries, which have decided to participate and support the VIS by donating some of their products. Four will also be set up Special Benches: Banco dell’Eccellenza, Banco Bollicine, Banco Piemonte and Banco dell’Olio Guida ExtraVol.
Thanks to solidarity contribution of 15 euros, which includes tasting, a glass and a glass bag, we will support the project “Elisa’s heart in the heart of Africa” underway in Goma, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, for the strengthening of the medical dispensary of the Don Bosco Center Ngangi and the nutritional support of malnourished girls and boys in the displaced persons camp adjacent to the Salesian centre. During the evening, Gildo Claps, Elisa’s brother and promoter of the project, and Gianmarco Saurino and Rosa Diletta Rossi, interpreters of the Rai fiction “Per Elisa – Il caso Claps” will speak.
The event is carried out as part of the project “Let’s TEST for the future: Territories and Students for a new ecological Citizenship”, co-financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and supported with the Otto per Mille funds of the Italian Buddhist Institute Soka Gakkai, aimed at promoting behaviors and forms of participation for the protection of the environment and the fight against climate change . During the evening it will be possible to view videos of the project and explore the educational web platform of the project aimed at secondary school students and teachers.
