An 81-year-old man from Cimadolmo (Treviso) has been identified as the alleged perpetrator of an arson attack involving two cars and part of the house of a 79-year-old entrepreneur from the same locality. The accident occurred last night.

The Carabinieri, together with the firefighters, intervened at the site of the fire. According to the investigations, the suspect, now under investigation for arson, acted due to friction with the victim, his partner, due to differences over the management of a company abroad.

Fortunately, no injuries to people have been reported.

Fire brigade intervention, around 2am on Sunday 23 June, for the fire of two cars parked in a vehicle shelter in via Callarghe, in San Polo di Piave (TV): no person was involved.
The fire brigade teams arriving from Conegliano and Treviso were involved, with a fire engine and two tankers for a total of 9 operators assisted by the guard officer, who managed to avoid a widespread fire.
In addition to burning the two cars, the flames spread to the facade and first floor of the house, causing considerable smoke damage.
Investigations by fire brigade technicians to ascertain the causes of the fire. The police are on site.
The complete shutdown, cleanup and safety operations of the site ended at dawn.
