The masters and the students of Libertas give further satisfaction to the president Gianni Caruso. Over the last weekend the Italian Master championships took place in Rome, in the M45 category Saverio Amoroso won the title of Italian Champion in the javelin throw with a measurement of 37.33 m, and climbed to the third step of the podium in the shot put and came fifth in the discus throw. Double podium also for Giovanni De Bellis: also for him the title of Italian Champion in the 100 meters hurdles with a time of 20″90 and bronze medal in the 300 m. with obstacles. Bronze also for Gaetano Lamparelli in the 100 m hurdles. Good performance by Giannicola Seneca, who came sixth in the 800 m. with a time of 2’15″19.
For the boys category, the regional phase of multiple trials of the CONI Trophy took place in Avellino, Giulia Saccomanno wins the Tetrathlon B, totaling 2190 points, consisting of the following races: 60 meters, long jump, vortex throw and 1000 meters of walking and qualifying for the national phase which will be held in Catania from 3 to 6 October. Lorenzo Di Pinto comes close to victory and places second with 2159 points, fourth place for Nina Pedicini and 14th place for Ginevra Panella on her debut in various disciplines of Tetrathlon A.
Congratulations to everyone for the results obtained despite the difficulties caused by the unavailability of the athletics track in via Duca D’Aosta, work on which has been blocked for three months now.
