They continue with more and more children and teenagers summer centres at the Hill of the Gods. There are many activities offered by the facility, from tennis, padel and swimming lessons with highly qualified professionals to events that characterize the different weeks. The last one saw the trip to Monte Artemisio, this current one will see the trip to Zero Gravity in Rome and then there will gradually be the Dinner and Night in the tent at the club (much loved by the kids), the day at Zoo Marine, the day of the Inflatables with Water, the Olympics at the Velletri Sports Field and the closing with the Treasure Hunt. We then like to talk about a beautiful experience that the kids from the summer camps were able to live last week. On the occasion of the presentation of two new tennis players who have joined the team Alberto Castellani, the international Master and Coach (as well as university professor) introduced the two boys (a Greek and an Indian) who responded to the boys’ curiosities. During the meeting with all the young people present Alberto told a bit of history of the two countries (Greece and India, in fact) with the kids (but not only, many staff people were present) really captivated by the stories of he. Alberto, in addition to being a man of sport with a career that has made him one of the most important tennis coaches in the world, is a person of profound culture and humanity and is truly a privilege for the Colle degli Dei and for the people who frequent the club to be able to have it in Velletri.
The Circolo Veliterno has also confirmed the organization this year of Tennis Europe Tournament which between the end of July and the first days of August will see the best tennis players and the best Under 14 players from all over the world compete on the courts of Colle degli Dei. This must certainly be associated with the possibility that the Club offers to the most deserving children (in terms of behaviour, scholastic results and therefore not only the tennis level achieved) to do internships in American colleges in the United States thanks to the collaboration with the international Master and Coach (as well as former top 100 at ATP level) Claudio Pistolesi. Claudio has been resident and tennis-active in Florida for several years (but it is not uncommon to meet him on the tennis courts of Colle degli Dei) and for years now he has been collaborating with the Velletri Club with a view to training and growth of the kids who they frequent the Hill of the Gods. They are very formative experiences and which remain as an important baggage of the children for their entire lives, as can easily be imagined. All these are activities that show how the Club has an increasingly international dimension and wants to continue to grow.
As already mentioned, they continue every Thursday and throughout the summer evenings by the pool with wine tasting, good food and live music in collaboration with “Wine Boutique – Wine is made with grapes”. In the last one which took place last Thursday, many people had dinner, cheered for the colors of Italy at the European Football Championships (unfortunately without great satisfaction!) and spent an evening of wine and music in good company. We will report next Thursday 27 June as the protagonist the NAE cellars, with vineyards on the border between Abruzzo and Marchea company that has been operating since 2020 (a truly very young company) and is establishing itself in the wine world very quickly.
