An auspicious inclusive fashion show and a poolside toast with a selection of fine wines chosen for the occasion. As per consolidated tradition, the Divine Solstice returns to Puglia, an event desired and organized by the social and cultural promotion association Divine del Sud, which in this way for three years has welcomed summer, its colors and its trends in fashionable and its food and wine goodness.
The event, dedicated to the promotion of the territory, the valorisation of our artisans, stylists and local wineries, is scheduled for June 30th in the evocative spaces of the “La Terrazza” hotel in Barletta, starting from 8.30 pm. Professional and special models will take turns by the pool, in a fashion show where high fashion and ready-to-wear will meet, giving life to a one-of-a-kind show.
“Every detail is a hymn to Puglia, every woven straw thread, every embroidered and worked fabric, every set stone – explained the president of Divine del Sud, Francesca Rodolfo. There is a lot of hard work behind every unique and exclusive piece that we will bring to the catwalk, expertly crafted by our stylists and our craftsmen, with particular attention to beauty and elegance.”
The focus is always on integration and inclusion and this year the event is enriched by the presence of Lilt, with the national president Dr. Francesco Schittulli. He will talk about prevention, which doesn’t go on holiday even in the summer, about the tiring psychophysical path from diagnosis to treatment. The inclusive parade, presented by Francesca Rodolfo and Domenico Bucci, will be accompanied by the tasting of selected wines from Salento and typical Apulian products such as baked goods from Barletta and the famous sospiri from Bisceglie in a special savory version, as well as the typical sweet one.
“Fashion and wine meet to celebrate Apulian excellence on the catwalk – concluded Agata Oliva, vice-president of Divine del Sud. These are two key sectors in our Region. It is therefore impossible not to celebrate them at all levels, valorising our small businesses and fine manufacturing, which translate into love for our land”.
As a backdrop to the charity event, one of the most popular works by the master Vito Gurrado from Bari, already the author of a monumental sculpture recognized as a UNESCO heritage site, located inside an ancient castle in Berat, Albania.
