Miralfiore, infinite plague. After the fatal overdose, drug dealing doesn’t stop

As if nothing had happened. The day after the discovery of the lifeless body of the 44-year-old from Pesaro in Miralfiore due to an alleged overdose, traffic in the park continued as usual yesterday in the grove on the corner between via Solferino and via Cimarosa.

We had dealt with that same area of the park at the end of March when, with an investigation, we had investigated the presence of drug dealers and habitual users of narcotic substances, finding various traces of their passage: syringes stuck in the ground, handkerchiefs stained with fresh blood and pipes crafts for smoking crack, metal spoons used to heat heroin, packages of syringes, pharmaceutical bottles for the preparation of injectable substances and pieces of burnt foil. And yesterday afternoon, while a well-attended party organized by the Inter Club of Pesaro was in full swing in the amphitheater area, in the “dark side” of the park, however, the comings and goings of drug dealers and drug addicts never stopped. Months ago, a massive containment measure was implemented in the park in collaboration with the Municipality of Pesaro, according to which the undergrowth was mowed and several trees were cut. The objective, on paper, was to “clean up” the area from the drug dealing. However, the logs cut as part of the operation have become the benches used to make holes more conveniently.

And yesterday afternoon those same makeshift benches were in fact populated by at least four or five drug addicts engaged in the “hole” ritual and on the ground it was possible to find packs of freshly used syringes. The park has been under special surveillance for months but the sale of substances, even in broad daylight, is always present. For example, the maxi operation conducted by the Flying Squad of the Pesaro police dates back to the end of 2022: 19 people of Nigerian nationality accused of hundreds of drug dealing cases ended up in handcuffs. The Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the discovery of the body of the 44-year-old, a warehouse worker in a company in Pesaro.

We are looking for whoever sold the fatal dose of heroin. To be able to identify him, the analysis of the man’s cell phone and the phone calls made and received will be important.
