FANO A Concordia room packed with people was the setting yesterday for the announcement by the mayor Luca Serfilippi of the composition of the new council. Serfilippi kept his word, having overcome the disagreements and difficulties encountered in the negotiations at the last minute, he managed to give representation to all the centre-right parties. A council of 4 men and 3 women emerged, composed partly of expert political exponents who have already occupied administrative roles in the past, but also of people who were catapulted for the first time, thanks to the preferences received from the voters, from social life from one’s private to the public one.
Criteria
In choosing his councillors, Serfilippi based himself on the electoral success of the candidates, but also on individual skills and was unable to deviate from those criteria that had endangered the compactness of the coalition. However, when a breaking point was reached, such as the persistence of the request for 3 departments by the Brothers of Italy, the mayor, showing character and a sense of balance, put his foot down and let his decision prevail. “In dividing the delegations,” said Serfilippi, “I tried to implement the best solution to make the role of each councilor more incisive.” And in the end there was no lack of news compared to the predictions of the day before. The mayor himself retained the health, staff and local police, associating the latter commitment with the contribution of Stefano Pollegioni of the UDC, who was unable to enter the city council, having been the first of the non-elected, also for the barrage carried out by Forza Italia, whose list he had joined. Loretta Manocchi, first of the elected representatives and political representative of Fratelli d’Italia, was confirmed as deputy mayor with the attribution of the main delegations of urban planning, environment and relations with investee companies; which means that it will have to deal as much as possible with reviewing the Prg, following the Antennas plan and safeguarding Aset in the storm in which the company owned by the Municipality of Fano will find itself when it has to participate in the tenders to safeguard its services.
The return
The return of Alberto Santorelli to the council, on behalf of the League, represents a series of tasks which are not a little demanding both in number and importance: thanks to popular participation he will have to implement “within the first 100 days”, as Serfilippi promised, the neighborhood councils and as councilor for Tourism and major events he has the whole summer waiting for him, including the budget and taxes. Not security, but educational services were entrusted to the new entry Loredana Manghernino of Civici Fano, while other “technical” delegations were attributed to Talamelli of Forza Italia and Curzi of Fano Cambia Passo.
