San Bortolo, the future is being designed

The design of the new residential buildings foreseen by Pinqua’s maxi intervention has begun, the innovative program for the quality of living that will change the face of via Oroboni and, consequently, of the western area of San Bortolo. The same goes for the design of the “Citadel of arts and music” which it will be built in the former Gabar, in the building that until a few months ago was the rather run-down and decaying headquarters of the local police command.

The design phase of both works, the most economically significant in the entire Pinqua, comes after the closure of the relevant framework agreements stipulated by Invitalia on behalf of the Municipality.

The start of the works, as the Palazzo Nodari insiders have made known, is estimated for next autumn. The Citadel of arts and music, according to the project hypothesis which was also presented publicly during a session of the city council, will be a center that will host an auditorium, a bar and also a “micro-kindergarten”.

As regards the new residential buildings, the construction of around 30 apartments is planned which should accommodate around a hundred people and will overlook Viale Oroboni. A small square will arise in the center.

Overall, the Pinqua maxi-project is worth around 19 million euros, of which 14,999,706 euros come from Pnrr funds.

The inclusion of Pinqua in the Pnrr entails a peremptory deadline: by 31 March 2026 all scheduled works must be completed. Not only that: all testing and reporting must also be completed by that date.
