anxiety and anger of the residents of Via Mascagni

Nightmare telephone antennas in the city:
in the sights of the residents, this time, the antenna of the Illiad telephone company which arose, in a short time, in Via Mascagni, an important and populous street of the Cerasola Park.
It is an imposing antenna located in the middle of a densely populated centre, characterized by the presence of hundreds of families, located between a school and a healthcare facility.
The parish priest of the neighborhood, Don Nicola Lombardi, took a firm position on the issue and, worried about the effects that the structure could have on the health of the residents of the hamlet, invited them to boycott the offers aimed at subscribing to telephone subscriptions made by the company ‘, to potential customers.
The religious man is unable to explain how, even in this case, economic interest can prevail over the possible damage that the structure can cause to the health of citizens (including children and the elderly).
Add to this the inertia of the Municipality which, unfortunately, in recent years has failed to equip itself with a plan that can carefully regulate the presence of antennas of this type in the city territory.
It is the same question that the opposition councilors Pasquale Napoletano and Raffaele Giovine ask themselves, who forcefully invite the local authority to equip itself with a plan that regulates and limits the installation of such works, identifying, among other things, special areas where they can be placed, thus trying to limit possible damage to public health.
Locally, as an immediate response, a Neighborhood Committee is being set up which promises to fight on the matter.
But, despite the clear opposition of the locals, as can be seen from the photos we are publishing, the work on positioning the repeater continued through the work of the company’s technicians working on the structure to be established.
It is true that the Campania Regional Administrative Court gave the green light to the building following an appeal presented by the company itself following the self-defense cancellation carried out by the Local Authority;
But it is equally true that, at present, it is precisely the absence of a regulation regulating in a clear and obstructive way the installation of such structures in the area of the Municipality of Caserta which makes similar and dangerous situations possible, among other things present , as well as in the city perimeter, also in historic neighboring villages (not least, San Leucio and Caserta Vecchia).
What can I say: the city deserves, from those responsible, much more respect and this is in the interest of the entire community, without exception.
