Last weekend was a fiery one for the Lucanian athletes of Federkombat, the only Federation recognized by CONI and the IOC (International Olympic Committee).
The Junior collegiate meeting took place last Saturday in Pescara to select and view the athletes who will participate and take part in the next World Championships which will take place in Budapest, Hungary from 25 to 31 August 2024. On Sunday, however, two sporting events took place in Tito Scalo , in the beautiful Taaluma Park structure: the selections of the Coni Trophy where the best four Kickboxing athletes and the best four Muay Thai athletes will take part in the final phase which will take place in Catania from 3 to 6 October 2024 and the Academy Games, a multidisciplinary competition to make the youngest athletes grow and fall in love with Kickboxing, in order to have a continuous and constant generational recycling.
This last event was organized by the Academy of Martial Arts and Combat Sports and the Regional Committee Federkombat.
All the Italian Champions of the specialties took part in the training camps that took place in Pescara, accompanied by Maestro Biagio Tralli:

– Gabriel Bozza -67 Kg Low Kick Old Junior S.S.D. Dynamic Center s.r.l.

– Antonella Venneri -52 Kg Low Kick Old Junior S.S.D. Dynamic Center s.r.l.
– Rosanna Riccardi -65 Kg Low Kick Old Junior A.S.D. Elité Kickboxing
All the boys had an excellent training session, receiving compliments from the Technical Directors Paolo Liberati and Alessandro Topa and from the host Sector Manager Riccardo Bergamini.
The selection for the Regional Coni Trophy took place on Sunday 23rd where the following athletes were selected for Kickboxing:
