Favl Viterbese, the future is now

It won’t just be the temperatures that are expected to be scorching that will heat up the week that begins today for the yellow and blue people. In fact, at stake is the possible arrival in the championship of the D series of Favl through the merger with Amatrice Rieti, which won the championship of Eccellenza but does not have a field to play and, consequently, has put its title on the market.

Favl Viterbese, the future is now

A leap forward, an opportunity that is of great interest to owner Piero Camilli, who however first wants to see all the accounts of the Sabino club (which would have several pending issues still open) and also awaits the start of the works at Rocchi promised by the Municipality. The sooner the redevelopment of the Palazzina’s turf starts, in fact, and the sooner Favl will be able to play on it again (in any case not before October): the Municipality must get moving, the maintenance should have been carried out in the last year too instead of sending the stadium in ruins, but now the interventions can no longer be postponed.

Piero Camilli ready to close the merger with Amatrice Rieti with Maglianese side

The merger operation between Amatrice Rieti and Favl Viterbo, if successful, should involve the collaboration of Maglianese, a company based on the border between the provinces of Rieti and Viterbo. The future Serie D club could at some point be called Favl Viterbese. But to understand if Serie D will really be able to return to Viterbo we will have to wait a few more days, necessary to clarify if the merger will really be feasible and if work will start at Rocchi.

Youth

The Favl selective meetings for young footballers are underway, scheduled for Monday 8th and Wednesday 10th July. The selections are aimed at athletes born between 2008 and 2012 and represent an important opportunity to become part of the youth sector of the yellow and blue club, with the possibility of being assigned to the regional and provincial championships. This is the meeting schedule: Monday 8th July, 6 pm, under 16 and under 17 (born between 1st January 2008 and 1st July 2010); Wednesday 10th July, 6 pm, under 14 and under 15 (born between 1st January 2010 and 1st July 2012.
