Francesco Bagnaia took a dominant win in the MotoGP Sprint race at Assen, leading impressively from start to finish. Pramac Ducati’s Jorge Martin and Aprilia’s Maverick Vinales completed the podium, maintaining their championship positions. Bagnaia, starting on pole, quickly took the lead at Turn 1, with Martin close behind. Martin’s bike wobbled in the second sector, allowing Bagnaia to gain an advantage. Gresini’s Alex and Marc Marquez moved up to third and fifth, but Marc crashed on lap two. Maverick Vinales passed Alex Marquez to retake third. Brad Binder made a strong comeback, moving up from ninth to fifth on lap four. Luca Marini and Lorenzo Savadori both had problems, with Marini retiring with engine problems and Savadori crashing. Enea Bastianini made impressive passes, moving up to sixth on lap seven and finishing fourth. Alex Rins had another crash, while Fabio Di Giannantonio secured fifth place. Aleix Espargaro and Fabio Quartararo also crashed, but escaped serious injury. Bagnaia’s dominant win puts him in a good position for Sunday’s race, with a 2.3-second advantage over Martin. Vinales and Bastianini completed the top four, while Binder was the top KTM rider in sixth. Quartararo made a strong comeback to finish eighth, and Pedro Acosta took the final point in tenth. Jack Miller, Joan Mir, Augusto Fernandez, Johann Zarco and Taakaki Nakagami rounded out the standings. Alex Rins, despite his crash, managed to finish the race.
