grandfather and grandson injured by gunshots. Hunt for two bandits

Gunshots near Guidonia. Uncle and nephew, a Moroccan and a Tunisian, aged 40 and 20, were injured at midday on Friday by gunshots fired by two bandits riding a scooter in what appears to be a robbery attempt. The victims were hit in the legs, the uncle also hit in the head but graze, and were hospitalized with a guarded prognosis but their lives do not appear to be in danger. The police are investigating the case.

According to the victims’ story, the robbers drove alongside them on their scooter while they were parked in the car at Parco Azzurro, in via della Stella Polare. One was armed with a gun, the other with a knife, and both had their faces covered. The relatives were threatened because they did not want to hand over a sum of money to the robbers and a fight then broke out during which the young Tunisian was knocked down. The uncle then started chasing the fleeing bandits, but one turned and shot him again from the scooter, hitting him in the knee. The Guidonia military personnel intervened on site and identified and recovered the scooter abandoned by the alleged criminals. The two injured people are instead at Sant’Andrea and could already be heard from in the afternoon.
