This evening the Under 15 Scudetto final was scheduled between Roma and Genoa: let’s see together how it went.

We are in the middle of summer but there are still some important events linked to the world of football. However, we are not thinking about the European Football Championships in Germany: June, in fact, is the most important month for the youth teams since the final stages are scheduled. All the Roma boys made a great impression by winning the final years of their respective categories. Spring they had a great year but lost a few weeks ago against Sassuolo: the 3-0 for the neroverdi was a hard blow to digest. After the debacle, several players said goodbye to the environment: a lot of things will change next year.

The Under 18s also lost the final against Genoa. Great satisfaction, however, for the Under 17s capable of winning the Scudetto by beating Empoli 3 to 1 in the final. The Ligurians hope to do an encore against the Giallorossi: the match is scheduled again in Ascoli (home of the semi-finals and finals of the various categories). Genoa, in the semi-final, beat Milan in both the first leg and the second leg (1 to 0 and 2 to 1). Roma, on the other hand, secured the pass for the finals by eliminating teams such as Inter, Juventus and Venezia. The final is by regulation a one-off match: you can’t go wrong. The match was also broadcast this time on both Dazn and VivoAzzurro (streaming channel). Let’s see together how it went for the very young Under 15s (here to read the article dedicated to the semi-final against Interr).

Under 15 championship final, Roma-Genoa: the result of the match

Roma started very well and immediately came close to taking the lead, wasting a colossal opportunity after a couple of minutes. At the end of the half, the two teams try with long range attempts which are unsuccessful. We return to the locker room at 0-0.

In the second half, Grifone started very well: Brizzolari hit the post from an excellent position. A few minutes later, Mandirola also hits the post from a very good position. At minute 49, Genoa’s show was rewarded: fantastic play by Consoli who found the score one-nil. In the final, Roma found the strength to reorganize their ideas: Gianmattei found the equalizer by taking advantage of the opponents’ general sleep.
