The civic candidate for mayor of Sanremo Alexander Mager filed a complaint with the police for the publication on social media of a fake sample of a ballot paper, altered in the part that concerns the candidate of the civic coalition. The symbols of the lists that actually support Mager (Anima, Idea, Forum and Sanremo al Centro) were accompanied by those of Generazione Sanremo (the civic list of Fulvio Fellegara, a centre-left civic candidate who was excluded from the ballot) and of the Democratic Party, which he in turn supported Fellegara. The falsified facsimile was apparently spread on social networks by some candidates of the opposing coalition, which supports the centre-right mayoral candidate Gianni Rolando.
Yesterday, Fellegara announced that he wanted to support Mager, but without making an alliance. “A facsimile of a ballot paper has appeared on some Facebook profiles which represents a distorted reality – said Mager -. My coalition is compared to the symbols of the Fellegara lists which has not entered into any agreement or affiliation with me and my coalition. If this is the level, I even expect this document to be distributed with leaflets. I am interested in voters being able to decide for themselves who to vote for and not be influenced by false information. I have indicated the profiles of those who shared the false ballot , among which there are several candidates of the Rolando coalition Acts that qualify the opponents”
