Ferrara In just under a year he had to endure all sorts of things violence and humiliation from her partner, who went so far as to put out a cigarette on her cheek.
Seven episodes – from June 2021 to May of the following year – lined up in the indictment against the man, who in the autumn will have to face a trial for mistreatment. But for the victim the nightmare continued even after the complaint, considered by the ex as an act of war to be responded to with a punitive expedition: three of her friends – including a woman – insummer of 2022 they showed up in the middle of the night outside the gate of her house, in a municipality in the Province, and woke her up by shouting these phrases: “Come out and we’ll kill you, do you want to send our friend to prison?” accompanying the threats with insults and insults. Facts for which they are now called to answer before the Justice of the Peacebut which represent only the last act of a hell dotted with trauma and harassment that did not spare even her son.
Insults and threats had already made living together unbearable. The man addressed her partner as “Deficient, demented, idiotic”, reaching the point of threaten her with death (“I’ll kill you and bury you in the garden”), extending the threatening phrases to her son too. But a few months later, in November 2021, the situation worsened further, because the man – fifty years old at the time – did not limit himself to verbal violence, but began to raise his hands. It’s not long before Christmas when he – always for trivial reasons – vents his anger on his partner by beating her and causing injuries which force her to be absent from work for three days. Too terrified to tell the truth, the victim on that occasion presented a medical certificate attesting to the flu. And she continues to suffer. Not much time passes, just a few weeks, when man’s violence explodes again; in the courtyard of the house he attacks her by grabbing her hair and making her fall to the ground, on the gravel. Once again, out of fear of her, the woman endures, but her partner continues to raise the bar of violence, even in the presence of third parties. And it is precisely two friends of the couple, in March 2022, who block him while he, in the throes of alcohol, tries to beat her, again addressing her with heavy insults and threats.
In May, the episode that finally leads the victim to react. The woman asks her brother-in-law for help and comfort, sending her partner into a rage drags her by her hair until she falls to the ground, kicks her in the back and punches her in the head, face and arms, then pins her in the doorway to press her head against the wall and turn off a cigarette on one cheek. The desperate woman tries to escape but before reaching the car she is caught and beaten again, despite her pleas.
But the measure was full. Assisted bylawyer Sara Brunothe victim turned to the police to file a complaint, and then did not back down in the face of threats from her ex’s friends.
