Nineteen new prison police officers for the prison Of Livorno. This was announced in a note released on Thursday 27 June by the deputy and regional coordinator of Fratelli d’Italia, Fabrizio Rossi. Throughout the region, 140 officers will take up service in the various penitentiary institutions. In addition to the 19 arriving in Livorno, there will be 51 in Florence for Sollicciano, 3 for the juvenile penal institution and 1 for the external criminal enforcement office. Then 26 for the Prato prison, the Dogaia, 17 are assigned to the prison and 1 to the external penal execution office of Pisa and 2 to the prison of Volterra. Finally, in Pontremoli, in Lunigiana, the number of staff assigned to the penal institution for minors is 20.

MP Fabrizio Rossi also thanked the Undersecretary of Justice, Andrea Delmastro “for the constant work he is carrying out for the penitentiary police. We assure you that we will continue to be at his side for the good of the territories of our Tuscany”. The situation of the staff at the Livorno prison has long been under the attention of the unions. In recent days, the escape of a 36-year-old prisoner, captured the following day at the Rome Tiburtina train station, had largely rekindled the spotlight on the issue, with the categories that had returned to ask the government to adopt important and significant measures to remedy the continuous occurrence of borderline episodes.
