The project aims to enhance and enjoy cultural heritage with the application of technology, which can offer an immersive experience to the user (both the visitor and the citizen) who can access various information contents through an “app” specially created. Not just textual content. The characteristic places of the historic center, in fact, are told both by actors, with animated “storytelling” on everyday life, on legends and sayings, and by the specially created virtual guide.
Another characteristic and peculiarity of the project lies in the fact that the use of the contents is allowed only by physically going to the area of interest, therefore we are not talking about a virtual visit but about increasing the on-site experience. And here lies the other innovation: the app is not limited to remote use, rather it becomes an accompanying tool for tourists or citizens who can become “tourists in their own home”.
The conference on 28 June includes institutional greetings from the mayor Vitantonio Petronella and the councilor for culture Angela Miglionico and speakers include Nicola Plantamura, administrator of Altanet; Mariella Forte, president of the Arché association; Piero Tubito, vice president of the Cara Altamura association; Carlo Martino, president of Confapi Puglia; Angelo Condorelli, marketing director of Esprimo srl. The journalist Onofrio Bruno coordinates.
