The event is promoted by National Park of theAlta Murgia on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its establishment (10 March 2004) and is organized in collaboration with Federparchi and with the support of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE), ISPRA, the Puglia Region, the Lazio Region and the Municipality of Gravina . Over the three days, the program includes various meetings with industry experts to delve deeper into issues related to environmental protection and sustainable development but also moments of entertainment with shows, concerts, show cooking, excursions and experiential workshops.
“20 years of the Alta Murgia National Park: conservation, management, future challenges” is the theme of the meeting which will inaugurate the event tomorrow, 21 June 2024, at 10.30 am. The speakers include the minister of MASE, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, the undersecretary of state at MASE, Claudio Barbaro, the president of the Puglia region, Michele Emiliano, the councilor for Agriculture, Parks and Forests of the Lazio region, Giancarlo Righini, and the president of Federparchi Europarc Italia, Luca Santini.
At the inaugural meeting, together with the first citizens of the municipalities of the Alta Murgia National Park, will also be present mayor Of Bitonto, Francesco Paolo Ricci. «Biodiversa – declares Ricci – represents an extraordinary opportunity to reflect online on relevant issues, and on which we must never lower our guard, such as environmental protection.
