Today’s edition of “Il Corriere dello Sport” focuses on the Palermo transfer market and the latest on the Giorgini target.
The Palermo team will be formed progressively, evaluating the conviction and motivation of all the players under contract, none of whom are excluded from the project a priori. Indeed, for many of them a season of redemption and relaunch could begin. However, the company’s intent is to correct the critical issues of last season, including the insufficient competitive fury shown in many matches, considered inadequate for a team that aspires to excel in a competitive championship like Serie B.
To improve this aspect, the Palermo is looking for players with specific characteristics. An example is the interest that has recently emerged in Andrea Giorgini, defender of South Tyrol. Giorgini, 22 years old, played 32 games last season and can play both as a central defender and as a right back. With his imposing physique (1.90 m tall), he is at the top of the Serie B statistics for tackles won and aerial balls recovered. Furthermore, being an under (born in 2002), he represents a valuable option for Palermo in drawing up the lists.
This targeted selection strategy is aimed at strengthening the team, addressing the shortcomings of last season and preparing a more competitive and determined lineup for next season.
