A great edition of the Italian Absolute Championships presented on Wednesday morning in La Spezia promises to be a great one. On Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June there will be 22 athletes representing the Studentesca and Rieti at the national event. Some qualified directly with the minimum and many through the Challenge step last Sunday in Brescia.
Martina Carnevale boasts her third accreditation this year and aims to return to the podium to increase her number of Italian medals. She also passed directly to Martina Cuccù, social record holder of the 100hs with 13.52 who will be involved tomorrow at the Sestriere Meeting. Federico Bonanni will also be the winner in the auction in Brescia, in the last scheduled test. Tommaso Maniscalco, unlucky yesterday in Nembro, boasts the third accreditation in the 800.
Damiano Dentato is registered in the 110hs and thanks to his second place in the 200m in Brescia he will also run the speed race. Two 4x100m with the men’s one having times close to 40″ and dreaming of a podium never achieved in the history of the rossoblu, while the women’s quartet it will be made up of the 4 Juniors (Giulia Paris, Lavinia Capasso, Salvetti, Virginia Capasso) who established the social record a month ago. In the walking race there is Andrea Di Carlo, protagonist of the season with the minimum for the U20 world championships. Mattia Silvestrelli earns his place with a super pb. Federica Pansini earns her place in the Assoluti with fourth place in Brescia but three days later at the Nembro Meeting she scores an important 2.03.23 which qualifies her as a new Absolute social record, improving Caldarini’s time. In the javelin Giovanni Bellini returns above the 70 meters in the highlight of the season and will be in La Spezia to defend the bronze in 2023. In Brescia we saw the real Emiliano Villa. Veronica Borsi’s student won his heat, bringing his personal best to 52.80, which will have to be a new starting point for the boy born in 2003. 4×400 relay inside thanks to his presence in Brescia; the quartet that will race on Sunday evening 30 June is to be evaluated.
