BOLZANO. The joint meeting of road system managers from Trentino-Alto Adige took place this week at the main headquarters of the Alto Adige Tourism Services Trade Union in Bolzano.

The presidents of the national federations of the sector, respectively, also spoke at the meeting Giuseppe Sperduto (FAIB), Roberto Di Vincenzo (PHEGIC) e Bruno Bearzi (FIGISC). At the center of the assembly was the burning topic of reform of the fuel distribution sectorannounced several times by the government.

“Fuel stations in South Tyrol, like those in the rest of the country, are now located in one emergency situation. Precarious tenancy agreements, which reduce the manager’s role to that of a simple gatekeeper, are becoming the new norm of low-cost exploitation and put the safety of managers and their employees at risk,” he says Walter SopperaPresident of Road Facilities Operators in the Union.

The oft-announced discussion table, which should find a solution to this situation, has evidently not produced satisfactory results. “If concrete responses from the government do not arrive promptly, the category will start a very harsh mobilization. This state of affairs not only humiliates the entrepreneurial spirit of road system managers, but also puts the survival of many companies present in the area at risk”, concluded Soppera.
