Freedom will be the watchword of this new edition of the Festival. Freedom of speech and expression, artistic freedom and, above all, freedom to live and tell your stories with emotion. This is the common thread that will unite the numerous events proposed by the program.
The third edition of Coconino Fest in fact, it includes a rich calendar of meetings with authors and readings, exhibitions, shows, live painting performances and exhibitions. All aimed at enhancing the fusion of different expressive forms – from music to the novel and from video to theater – until the worthy conclusion, celebrated on the beach ofHana-bi of Marina di Ravenna.
For the occasion, the MAR (Art Museum of the City of Ravenna) will make its spaces available for the exhibition Freedom. Seven authorial glances: geographies and generations of comics, divided into as many sections dedicated to Gipi, Usamaru Furuya, Valentine Cuny-Le Callet, Anke Feuchtenberger, Filippo Scòzzari, Antonio Pronostico. There will also be no shortage of newcomers from the publishing house involved, such as Enrico Pinto, Michele Peroncini, SPAM Il Mandarino Psichico and Isabella Tiveron. Furthermore, for the first time at Classense Librarythe exhibition of the tables by will be open to the public I travel to italy by Pietro Scarnera (from 15 June to 13 July).
Among those mentioned, Gipi will exhibit the plates of his recent graphic novel for the first time, Stacy, while Usamaru Furuya, directly from Japan, will display his skills as a master of Manga. The scathing art of Filippo Scòzzari is also interesting. But the real protagonists will be the French Valentine Cuny-Le Callet and the German Anke Feuchtenberger, capable, through their works, of questioning recent society and history.
