Maestro Alberto Veronesi in support of Portesani’s candidacy

Alberto Veronesi, international orchestra conductor, who has conducted in the most important theaters in the world, including the Salzburg Festival, Carnegie Hall in New York and the Vienna State Opera, wanted to personally support Alessandro Portesani.

“I really love the city of Cremona, of which I know and appreciate the centuries-old history linked to the violin and Monteverdi. This cradle of musical civilization must be supported and developed,” he said. “I therefore turn to the people of Cremona and the numerous friends I have in this city to support Alessandro Portesani in the ballot that will be held next Sunday and Monday, who has created a program for the revaluation of the cultural heritage, even putting representatives of the artisans and the violin making in Cremona. Only Portesani, with his organizational ability as a manager, which we do not see in the other candidate, will be able to enhance the extraordinary musical and cultural heritage of the city”. The maestro also held a short concert in Piazza Marconi.

“I want to thank the conductor Alberto Veronesi, who arrived in Cremona today to show me his support for the ballot on Sunday and Monday, with him I thank the entire family of the unforgettable oncologist and former Minister of Health Umberto Veronesi who also expressed my support for my person” said the candidate, at the end of a meeting he had with the well-known musician in the historic center of the city.

“This support, said Portesani, is the symbol that our project for culture is also appreciated by the great musicians who perform on the stages of the greatest theaters in the world. Culture is not only a heritage of the center left but is also a flagship of our government program.”
