Solidarity will be the main theme of the 2024 edition of “The witches at the wheel”. The club authorized by the parents has made itself available to raise funds in favor of Valeria Bianco, the 16-year-old girl who was seriously injured following a a road accident which occurred in S.Marco dei Cavoti. The money raised will be used to cover the expensive treatments Valeria needs. Meanwhile, preparations are being finalized for the thirteenth edition of “The Witches at the Wheel” organized by Asas directed by Lidia Cavuoto and Antonio Giangregorio. The event on 22 and 23 June is valid for the Marco Polo trophy and has allowed the club to win 5 golden cranks as well as special ASI prizes. It is right to continue on the path undertaken, Asas knows this well and has left nothing to chance for the 2024 edition too. We start on Saturday 22 June at 3pm in Piazza IV Novembre where the crews from all over Italy will be on display. Followed by a guided tour of the diocesan museum at the Benevento Cathedral. Then magical routes to discover the haunted alleys with theatrical and musical performances. At 10 pm a journey into space: from the arc to the stars by the astronomer Antonio Pepe. On the morning of Sunday 23 June visits to the Hortus Conclusus and art tour at the rectors’ fortress with presentation of the works by the artist Elena Rubino Luca Loiacono, official speaker of the ASI, will present the cars on the catwalk. To embellish “The witches at the wheel” also the Samnite cuisine with typical local products. In conclusion, the crews’ awards ceremony accompanied by performances of traditional dances by by Selena Sacco of Anima Meridionale.
