Over 800 Coldiretti pensioners took part in the XXV Interregional Day of Coldiretti Pensioners which was celebrated today in Vicoforte. Participating were the President and National Secretary of Federpensionati Coldiretti, Giorgio Grenzi and Lorenzo Cusimano, the Presidents of the Pensioners Association of Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta Sergio Barone, Gabriella Caratti and Fulvio Borbey, the President of the Cuneo Association Romano Ficetti, as well as the Presidents, Directors and managers of the various provincial Federations.

From prayer to the memory of the principles and ideals of an existence marked by the rhythms of the earth, from the convivial lunch to the possibility of visiting the “Regina Montis Regalis” Sanctuary of Vicoforte, it was an intense day, inaugurated by the Holy Mass at the Sanctuary officiated by the Bishop of Mondovì, Monsignor Egidio Miragoli.

“It is an honor to have hosted this interregional day in the province of Cuneo and a joy to have brought seniors from Piedmont, Liguria and Aosta Valley to a place of such great beauty. It was a day of sharing and aggregation that allowed us to get closer to members and realities far from ours, to discuss the common objectives and projects that the Pensioners’ Association is carrying out. Above all, we celebrated the precious work of our retired members to whom, today more than ever, a big thank you for being the constant point of reference for the family, for the good functioning of agricultural businesses and for our Coldiretti” declares Romano Ficetti, president of the Pensioners’ Association of Coldiretti Cuneo.

“We are always busy – underlines Giorgio Grenzi, national president of Federpensionati – to carry forward the project relating to health within which both food and movement have a main role, but also that of safety. On a day of sharing like this, we took stock of the many issues addressed by our Coldiretti, but what remains a priority is to provide greater services through PNRR funds to pensioners throughout our country”.

“Today, agriculture, while focusing on innovation, cannot give up the heritage of those farmers who, despite the arrival of retirement, continue to make a great contribution to businesses, as well as to families. Our Seniors have gained a long experience which today makes them active protagonists in the implementation of participatory and concrete proposals, capable of responding to the biggest problems faced by agricultural companies, from wildlife to water infrastructures, from production chains to bureaucracy” claims the resident of Coldiretti Cuneo, Enrico Nada.

“The Seniors represent a model for the new generations for tenacity, dedication, tireless commitment, but also for loyalty to our Organization, because in the 80 years of Coldiretti history, if we have been able to achieve important results it has been thanks to the mobilization daily life of each of them. The Seniors have been and remain a founding element of the Coldiretti action to protect and benefit our agriculture” concludes the director of Coldiretti Cuneo, Fabiano Porcu.
