Bologna, 20 June 2024 – Violent clashes between demonstrators and the police inside the Don Bosco park where work is continuing, with the cutting of trees, for the construction of the tram construction site. The police charges they left while some activists were opposing the cutting of trees. During the scuffles one girl was injured in the head, rescued with a bloody face. Other protesters were injured. At least two people were taken to the police station.

The cordon of riot police completely rejected the march and removed all demonstrators from the construction site area, making them pour even on the street, where the local police continue to divert traffic to limit problems. Approximately 50-60 people were present, attributable to protest committee “Besta”. Just yesterday about forty protesters they tried to block traffic, but were turned back by the police, without tension.

The charges continue: more wounded
On one side and the other of the embankment charges continue on both sides and injuries continue to be reported. The cordon of anti-riot officers completely pushed back the procession and removed all the demonstrators from the construction site area, causing them to spill out onto the street, where the local police continue to divert traffic to limit the problems.

“As Communist Refoundation We are outraged and concerned about this muscular exercise carried out this morning by the police. We believe that the responsibility for what is happening must lie with the municipal administration and all those who support it.
