With a good twenty years of delay, even the leaders of the Lombardy Region admit that the Lombardy healthcare booking call center located in Paternò, Catania, homeland of the La Russa family, is madness. And what’s more it doesn’t work. This was admitted yesterday by the regional councilor for Welfare of Lombardy, Guido Bertolaso (who had been violently attacked a few days ago by Fdi, the La Russa party, for the closure of the Menaggio hospital) speaking at a CISL conference.

“Obviously we must try to unify the various booking methods that citizens are obliged to use today,” said Bertolaso regarding waiting lists, “for example, the regional call center today is at 13-20% of phone calls processed , almost nothing, because it is of no use and only collects partial agendas or partial information deriving from the Asst”.

L’Espresso then added that “in a few months the Fontana council has signed three 400 million provisions that maintain the telephone booking services of the Pirellone in Paternò, the city of Ignazio and Romano”.
