On the evening of Wednesday 19 June, one occurred shooting in front of the municipal swimming pools of Villafranca di Verona. The toll is currently one dead and one injured in serious condition, hospitalized.
According to an initial reconstruction, the shots would have started at the height of a violent quarrel probably broke out between some carnies, who in these days preceding the festival of San Pietro e Paolo have their vehicles parked right in front of the swimming centre. Investigations are underway to verify the causes of the dispute.
Shooting in Villafranca: what happened
Violent shooting in Villafranca di Verona which occurred following a quarrel between carnies on the evening of Wednesday 19 June: according to initial information, they had been exploded two gunshots shortly after 9pm in viale Olimpia, near the municipal swimming pools. Two people were hit, one of whom was seriously injured.
Some carnies, whose caravans are parked right near the swimming pools, had to seek treatment at the Villafranca emergency room. They are the protagonists of furious argument culminating in the explosion of several gunshots.
From what we learn, also on the basis of the images from the video surveillance cameras, the violent altercation was preceded by another quarrel, again between the employees of the amusement park. This first brawl broke out in the square that flanks the city castle, where the attractions were installed.
The Villafranca carabinieri, who rushed to the scene after the shooting, are investigating the causes.
