Reggio Calabria, Falcomatà at the swearing-in of the Carabinieri students

Below is the press release from the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria with the mayor’s statements Giuseppe Falcomatà present at the swearing-in ceremony of the Carabinieri students.

“A particularly emotional moment, like every year, a ceremony that has entered the history and tradition of this city, also I believe in the hearts of the people of Reggio who every year, in these days, see the city crossed by tourists even more, but also by relatives of Carabinieri students who complete the course”.

Thus the metropolitan mayor of Reggio Calabria, Giuseppe Falcomatà, today at the ceremony oath of Carabinieri studentswho completed the 142nd course, in the ‘Fava-Garofalo’ Student School, in the presence, among others, of the Commander of the Carabinieri Schools, Gen. di D. Giuseppe La Gala.

Falcomatà added:

“As every year, we have tried to be prepared and continue our dialogue, our collaboration, our synergy with the Carabinieri, with the Student School, making shuttle buses available to allow families to park in the area of the Botteghelle of power arrive at the oath in complete tranquility, as we did by organizing together the 210th anniversary of the foundation for the splendid birthday of the Carabinieri. It is a path – concluded the mayor – that always sees us on the same sideside by side, in the daily battle for the restoration and maintenance of legality in our territory”.

Also present at the ceremony were the metropolitan deputy mayor Carmelo Versace and the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Reggio Calabria Paolo Brunetti, together with the other city authorities and representatives of the police forces.
