With a friend he was walking through the streets of the historic center of Reggio Emilia when he was approached by two young foreigners who insistently asked him for a cigarette. At a certain point one of the two punched him in the chest and then tore off the chain around his neck which then fell to the ground.
The two attackers fled, while the victim, a 20-year-old from Reggio Emilia, picked up the chain and called the police who tracked down the person responsible.
On charges of attempted robbery, the Reggio Emilia military reported a 21-year-old resident of Fornovo di Taro to the Public Prosecutor’s Office. Investigative investigations are underway to trace the suspect’s friend and verify whether he was involved in the robbery attempt.
The origin of the events dates back to the evening of June 17th, when the 20-year-old, who was with a friend, while walking along Via Filippo Re in Reggio Emilia, was approached by two foreign boys who insistently asked him for a cigarette.
